Households Enrolled in SNAP

In New Hampshire, utilization rates increased after the economic downturn in 2008, but have leveled off and not returned to pre-recession rates.

SNAP offers nutrition assistance to thousands of eligible, low-income individuals and families and provides economic benefits to communities. The Federal Food and Nutrition Service, part of USDA, works with State agencies, nutrition educators, and neighborhood and faith-based organizations to ensure that those eligible for nutrition assistance can access benefits.
