The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) provides Federal grants to States for supplemental foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding, and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age five who are found to be at nutritional risk.
Data source: New Hampshire statewide data from U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food and Nutrition Service: WIC program data.
Note: To receive services, families must have incomes at or below 185% of poverty; reside in the service area covered by the local agency; and, for WIC only, be nutritionally at risk as determined by a staff nutritionist.
